8C10.10 • Expansion of the Universe

Concepts Conveyed:

• As the Universe expands, all points get further and further away from each other.
• The further two points are away from each other, the faster they move away from each other.

Instruction/ Notes

• Make sure that the black marks on the balloon are visible. (reliable if needed).
• Take out the Balloon pump so the professor can expand the weather balloon.
• When done, release the balloon air and put it on the designated shelf.

Staff notes:

• Need to make sure to test the Balloon Pumper before you take it to the professor.
