The Photo on the LEFT Shows the Demonstration Apparatus Used by the University of Texas at Austin.
The Photo on the RIGHT Shows the Rings Projected by the Apparatus.
Instructions / Notes:
- Demonstration includes a projector lamp, a Newton's Rings set of glass plates, and a projection lens.
- The beam of light shines from the projector bulb and is reflected back by the Newton's Rings glass plates.
- This reflected light is projected through the lens on to a blank wall.
- Note: Avoid keeping the light on for extended periods of time. The bulb has a tendency to heat up!
Demo Staff:
- Point the arrow (on the demo) towards the wall it is being projected on.
