Photo Shows the Demonstration Apparatus Used by the University of Texas at Austin.

Instructions / Notes:

• Demonstration includes a laser and an adjustable single slit .
• Turn-off when not in use. Students may inadvertantly look directly into the emitted ray.
• Turning the knob on the single slit apparatus widens and narrows the diffraction slit.
• The diffracted pattern is projected onto a screen on the side wall across the room.
