5K40.10 • Motors and Generators: CENCO DC Motor

Photo Shows the Apparatus Used at the University of Texas at Austin

Instructions / Notes:

• Using the 6V power supply, assemble the Cenco Motor as shown above.
• Attach the red cable from the positive output of the battery supply to the red banana plug of the Cenco Motor.
• Attach the black cable from the negative output of the battery supply to the black banana plug of the Cenco Motor.
• To turn on the Cenco Motor, connect the power supply to an outlet.
• The power output of the battery supply can be adjusted by turning the grey knob. DO NOT EXCEED PAST THE 6V MARK.

• Ensure you are using the apparatus that does NOT have magnets on the sides (the one that does not have blue tape on the top).
